Who operates this site and how to reach them
funthrum.com ("Funthrum," "this site," "we") is an independent editorial project operated by Félix Lavoie, a private individual, at 997 Av. Ogilvy, Montréal, QC H3N 2T3, Canada. Funthrum is not a company, and no separate legal entity operates alongside Mr. Lavoie for the purposes of this site. For any question about this notice or the information described below, contact hello@funthrum.com or +1 514-495-7775.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers only funthrum.com and the pages published under this domain. It does not cover Google Play, the app developers named in our reviews, or any other site you may reach by following a link from here. Funthrum does not operate a mobile app, a checkout, an account system, or any form on this site — there is nowhere on funthrum.com to submit personal information directly.
What information is processed, and where it comes from
Because this site has no forms, no account system, and no comment section, we do not collect personal information directly from visitors. Two limited categories of information are processed indirectly: (a) standard technical request data generated automatically by your browser when you load a page — IP address, user agent, referring page, and request timestamp — processed on our behalf by our hosting provider and by Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers this site's pages as a content delivery network; and (b) a single, local browser storage entry recording whether you accepted or dismissed the cookie notice banner, described further under "Local storage and the cookie notice banner." Neither category is linked to a name, an account, or any other identifier we hold.
Why this information is processed
Technical request data described above is processed for the operation, security, and performance of the site itself — routing requests, preventing abuse, and, where enabled, aggregate performance measurement (see the section on Cloudflare below). The local storage entry exists solely so the cookie notice does not reappear on every page you visit. Neither purpose involves advertising, profiling, or any use of your information beyond delivering and maintaining this site.
Who this information is shared with
Two recipients are involved in delivering this site: our hosting provider, which stores the site's files and serves them to your browser, and Cloudflare, Inc., which operates as a content delivery network and security layer in front of the hosting provider. Both process the technical request data described above as service providers, not as independent users of that data. Funthrum does not sell, rent, or share any visitor information with advertisers, data brokers, or any party outside this delivery chain.
Data processed outside Canada
Cloudflare, Inc. operates a global network, which means technical request data described above may be processed on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. Where this occurs, Cloudflare's own privacy practices and standard contractual safeguards govern that processing; details are published at cloudflare.com. Funthrum does not itself transfer any information outside Canada beyond what is inherent to using this content delivery network.
How long information is kept
Technical request data described above is retained by our hosting provider and Cloudflare only for the limited period needed for security, performance, and operational purposes, in line with their own stated retention practices. The local storage entry is retained only in your own browser and only until you clear your browser's site data — Funthrum has no ability to delete it remotely because it is never sent to us.
Local storage and the cookie notice banner
When you first visit funthrum.com, a banner asks whether you accept or dismiss a short notice about how this site works. Your choice is written to a single local storage entry, fthConsentChoice, held only inside your own browser. This entry does not identify you, is never transmitted to our server, and controls nothing beyond whether the banner reappears. Funthrum does not set any first-party cookies. If Cloudflare's own performance-analytics script is active on this site, it operates without setting a cookie, as described at cloudflare.com; full detail on this point is published on our Cookie Notice page.
Your rights under PIPEDA
The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets out principles for how organizations handle personal information in Canada, and Funthrum follows those principles as a matter of practice even though this small, non-commercial editorial project processes very limited information as described above. Under PIPEDA's principles, you may ask what information, if any, we hold that relates to you, request that inaccurate information be corrected, and revoke any consent you've given, to the extent this applies. Because funthrum.com does not collect personal information tied to your identity, most such requests will return nothing to disclose — but you're welcome to ask by writing to hello@funthrum.com.
Children's information
This site is a general-audience games review publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, since the site has no means of collecting personal information at all.
Security measures
funthrum.com is served entirely over HTTPS, encrypting the connection between your browser and our hosting provider and Cloudflare. Because the site collects no personal information through forms or accounts, there is no database of visitor-submitted personal data to secure beyond the technical request logs described above.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as the site or its hosting arrangements change. The date below reflects the version currently in effect; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date rather than announced separately, since Funthrum has no subscriber list to notify.
How to complain
If you believe your privacy rights under PIPEDA have not been respected, you may contact us directly at hello@funthrum.com, or file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, 30 Victoria Street, Gatineau, QC K1A 1H3, priv.gc.ca. Because the operator of this site is based in Québec, you may also refer to Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, overseen by the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, for guidance applicable to organizations based in that province.
