About Funthrum

Funthrum is a small, one-person guide to free-to-play games built around two things a lot of casual games promise and few actually deliver: an easy way in, and a session that fits into a spare few minutes. Right now that means two hubs — candy-matching puzzles and bakery time-management sims — covering nine games we picked because they're genuinely free to download, easy to explain, and worth the install.

The site is written and maintained by Félix Lavoie, based in Montréal, Québec. There's no editorial team, no advertising placements, and no affiliation with King, 707 Interactive, Slimmerbits LLC, Gamoper, Flipline Studios, Coco Play by TabTale, Living Code Labs, or Google Play — every developer name on this site belongs to the studio that made that game, mentioned here for the purpose of reviewing it, nothing more.

Every review reflects hands-on time with the actual app on Google Play, and every screenshot and icon comes from that game's own store listing rather than a stock image library. Ratings shown alongside each game are Google Play's own public rating at the time of writing, pulled from the same store GEO used across this site — Canada, English.

The catalogue will keep growing slowly as new hubs make sense to add, but the approach stays the same: real games, played by one person, written up honestly — including the parts that don't work as well as the parts that do. If something here looks wrong, outdated, or unclear, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
